This can be good for some children who worry a lot. They write down (or draw) what they are worried about (it may not be cancer related) and pop it into the box before they go to sleep. The box is then put in a safe place in another room.
The idea is that they place their worries safely to one side and forget about them for a while. Talk to children and ask their permission to read their worries – this might give a further insight into what support they need.
